I agree that Europe should work on a better communications system rather then work on transportation issues. Once they make a good communication foundation then it will be much easier to work on transportation. It would be smarter to develop good communication between all the people and then work on other things like transportation once everything is under control and working good.
Chapter 13, Section 2
1. Industry and farming pratices have changed the enviornment by participating in floods, soil erosion, and deforestation.
2. The European Union has tried to protect Europes enviornment by requiring enviornmental protection and clean-up from its members.
Creative Writing:
I believe Europe could be doing more to keep their enviornment clean and not polluted. They have done a lot of damage to the enviornment in the past because of the lack of rules against pollution. They need to work very hard to try to undo or at least slow down the trouble they have put themselves in in the past.

1. Over the years immigraton has influenced the population of Northern Europe because the countries in Europe are so diverse. There are many ethnic groups that take over Europe, for example the most populated and deverse areas in Europe are the British Isles, the United Kingdom and Ireland. The many different ethnic groups result in Europe being a highly cultural area that attracts people of many kinds.
2. Physical geography has helped shape the population patterns of Northern Europe in many ways. For example the early ancestors of Britan arrived at the mainland of Europe because of a huge land bridge that connected the two areas. Many of the people that live in various place throughout Europe are most likely descendants from somewhere else.

While here in the United States we have to take care of these things on our own. Although in a welfare staten there is less freedom and alot more things are controlled without decision.
Chapter 12, Section 2
1. Religion has helped shape the history and governments in Western Europe becase for example the Reformation became a huge part in European history, new religions were created from this dispute, and it took away the abundance of power that the church had.
2. After World War 2 Germany was split into Comunist East Germany and Democratic West. As a result of this war the population was changed dramatically because of the extermination of many ethnic groups. Eventually West Germany grew closer economically and politically to Belgium, France, Italy, and Luxembourg, leading to the European Union.
Creative Writing:
As the population ages, this system may eventually begin to fail. People are beginning to live longer and reitrment may become much more expensive then the government can afford. Especially if the birthrate and immigration increases there may be too many people in the area for the government to afford this policy.
